First Advocates, Inc. will evaluate and provide a brief assessment of the client’s life history, current court status if any, if on probation or parole along with client’s strengths & weaknesses.

COURT RELATED SERVICES 

  • Training in Appropriate Court Conduct
  • Communicate Progress Reports to Service Coordinators
  • Communicate with Regional Centers

 Additional services encompassed within the program include, but are  not limited to: 

  • Interacting with courts, attorney, and probation officers
  • Ensuring court compliance with specific diversion plans
  • Locating community resources
  • Reinstating Social Security benefits
  • Locating suitable housing
  • Follow-up with medical providers to ensure client is up-to-date with required examinations and compliant with medication
  • Money Management
  • Time Management
  • Facilitate consumer comprehensive counseling sessions, i.e.: substance abuse groups, domestic violence groups, AB 541 courses.
  • Assist clients who are or may have been victims of financial abuse or identity theft
